Welcome to
Staveley Area Toy Library

We are a community group who provides a toy library service to families, groups, schools and nurseries, and Stay and Play sessions at various locations for families in the Staveley area.

Staveley Area Toy Library has been in operation since 2004 and is run by a group of volunteers and our Toy Library Co-ordinator Donna.

What is a toy library?
Just like in a library we provide items that are available for loan, the only difference is that we provide toys instead of books. You can borrow a fantastic range of fun and educational toys and games for families to borrow for just a few pence. With over 500 toys, puzzles, puppets, games and more to choose from, you and your children will be spoilt for choice!

How does it work?
To borrow toys you must become a member where you will receive a membership card and number, you can borrow up to three items per fortnight for a very small charge.  You can bring your children along to the stay and play sessions where they can have fun playing, making, singing and making new friends while you can browse through our toy catalogues and choose which toys to borrow. This is a great opportunity to meet new people or catch up with old friends.

When?
We currently have five stay and play sessions every week during term time - take a look at our sessions page to find out when and where.
